English Conversation Classes

Small-group English conversation courses at Jazykové Centrum are designed to build your speaking confidence in a supportive, interactive setting. Each class is 75 minutes long and limited to 8 students to ensure personalized attention.
Get ready for Fall! New classes begin September 28th. Registration opens on August 17th.
Meet Our Instructors
All classes are taught in English and focus on conversation skills.
Chris Haynes
Chris Haynes is a TEFL-certified teacher from Virginia with 15 years of experience. His classes at Jazykové Centrum are fun, friendly, and conversation-focused, designed to build fluency, vocabulary, and confidence through videos, readings, and engaging speaking activities. One-on-one lessons are also available.

Brant Hoekstra
Brant is an American IT manager and experienced English instructor known for his friendly, creative, and conversation-focused teaching style. Originally from Dallas, he holds a degree in biochemistry and information technology and moved to the Czech Republic in 2016. His classes help students build vocabulary and fluency through practical, engaging discussions.

Dave Nizic
Dave Nizic is a retired American entrepreneur with degrees in computer information systems and mass communication. Formerly based in Oregon, Dave brings his diverse professional experience to English classes that are fun, informative, relational, and adaptable to his students' individual goals and interests.
Curt Mobley
Curt Mobley has lived and worked in Prague for 18 years with his wife, Vicky, and his son, Jair.
Curt has a master’s degree in intercultural studies, a bachelor of music in vocal performance and a bachelors in information management systems. He currently teaches at Evangelikální teologický seminář in Černý Most and the Christian International School of Prague in Praha 2.
Curt enjoys music, politics, films and discussions.
